Reimagining the brand identity of a SaaS review platform

Background

2 Step Reviews is an effective SaaS platform and mobile app that aggregates online reviews into a dashboard to help their clients gather reviews and grow their business. It also offers a powerful reputation management module to track and respond to reviews.

Objective

2 Step Reviews engaged zeropoint7 Studio to redesign its brand identity as the visual identity they had at the time did not accurately and effectively reflect the brand’s key attributes, did not connect with their target clients, and was extremely limiting in its application across the various media.

Crafting the logo mark

The new logo mark utilizes a hexagon shape as its foundation, while removing its top section and introducing two optically offset lines in its negative space. The resulting logo combines a unique shape of a speech bubble with a 3/4 perspective view of two steps. The speech bubble indicates a client’s review, whereas the steps leading upwards express the growth that clients will experience through the 2 step review process.

The new brand identity in use

The new brand identity now truly reflects the key attributes that 2 Step Reviews intends to convey to its clients. Particularly, the logo mark and color palette have strengthened the brand’s visual recognition, making it easier for consumers to associate the brand with its services. Additionally, the improved logo scalability and lockup variations offer a more versatile implementation across the span of its digital applications.

Recognition of design excellence

The 2 Step Reviews logo was honored with being published in the 12th edition of the best-selling LogoLounge book series. An international judging panel of 10 top brand identity design professionals selected this logo from over 40,000 logo designs to be included in the top 3,000 marks published in this book.
